        Ionization energy trends, electronegativity.  Video: CPB # 15 - Busy Electron
        Demonstrations: Atomic families and common reactions. (time permitting,
        otherwise on Thursday.)
        Desktop lab work: Graphing atomic radii, ionization energy.

Thur (Nov 1)  Day 8  EHFG

        Introduction to ions. Formation. Octets, valence, common ions.
