Welcome to Algebra I, College 1. This course does a significant review of arithmetic as it applies to elementary algebra. In the first quarter of the year we cover Chapters 2, 3, 1, and 4 (in that order) of the algebra text, followed by Chapters 5-7 in the second. The chapters include operations in algebra, the process of solving basic alegbraic equations, observation of patterns and order of operations, and proportional reasoning and statistics.                              

    Quarterly grades are determined by test grades (80%) and completion of daily homework assignments (20%). There will be an assignment due at the beginning of each class. Students can only make up, for credit, assignments missed due to illness or official school business. Every student has an assignment sheet specifying the work that needs to be completed.  Assignments are listed by number. Current assignments and due dates are listed below:
